All bookings for 6 persons and under are done via the booking enquiry below. For groups of 7 or more see the group section below.  We do not take bookings over the phone.

On weekends and Bank Holidays we happily take bookings but with good weather we busy up fast, and can even become fully booked.

With afternoon booking – We just ask you to be aware there may be a wait, we do our very best to get boats back on time for your booking but we don’t guarantee the time as morning boaters can be late back if the weather is fantastic. (This happens very rarely).

If the weather is good we will be busy no matter the day of the week, it is best to book a few days in advance for sunny days especially for weekends.

Group Bookings

If you are a group of 7 or more we ask you to contact us directly via the contact page (or email – [email protected]) We only offer punting for adult parties of 7 or more. In you enquiry email include the following: A start time, duration – 1 or 2 hour slot, how many persons and what date you would like.

For all group bookings we require a deposit of £10.00 per person payable by bank transfer to cover the first hours hire. This is non-refundable unless the river is flooded.

Boating still goes ahead whatever the weather, just bring a brolly or a rain coat!

Please note we are closed Mondays and Tuesdays so no admin is done.

We do not allow stag parties. We do not tolerate drunk or disorderly behaviour. If you turn up intoxicated we have the right to refuse you. If you are disrespectful of the boats we will ask you to bring the boats back in. If you are refused or asked to come back deposits will not be refunded.

Book with us

We require two 18-year-old adults minimum to a boat. Children are classed as 15 and under and are required to wear life jackets.

We have a minimum age of 1 year for children, for healthy and safety reasons children younger cannot go.

Confirmation is automatic on the booking site. Please even check spam folders for response.

If the river floods boat hire will be cancelled for the day. All large groups that have left deposits will be refunded or offered a date to rebook. 

All groups/bookings will be notified via the email you booked on. We will also instantly updated on instagram confirming we are flooded – so please do check this the morning of a booking if you are unsure. Instagram @bathboatingstation.

Sometimes (very rare) flooding can happen unexpectedly overnight, if this happens we will do our best to notify everyone and post an update on instagram immediately.

We have put safety measures in place protecting customers and our staff, please be aware service may be slower than normal, this is for safety reasons!

You must be able to get in and out of the boat unaided by our staff, if you are not agile enough for this you cannot go.

We now only take contactless card payments. We only allow a maximum of 2 hours on the river, if we are busy this may be reduced to 1 hour.

We are keeping our bins open, please protect us by doing the recycling properly, crush cans, crush plastic bottles, recycle as much as possible.

Please hand sanitise on your way in! We also have hand sanitiser at the toilet entrance, so please sanitise on your way in and out of the toilet!

You can only go boating if everyone in your boat is from the same household, we do not allow people from different households in the same boat as you cannot socially distance!

Please stand 2 meters apart, follow the signs for guidance.

We ask all customers to wear gloves when coming boating, either their own or ones we supply. We supply these at our cost price, you can ask for any pairs you need at the office.

We also would prefer if everyone wore masks whilst queuing and getting in and out of boats, to provide maximum protection for our staff and customers.

There is a one-way system in place, for your safety.
